How to Configure hostname in Oracle Linux 7

Set the hostname:

[root@localhost ~]# hostnamectl set-hostname em12c.dbaglobe.com
[root@localhost ~]# hostnameem12c.dbaglobe.com


Re-login terminal session:

login as: oracle
oracle@192.168.56.130's password:
Last login: Sat Oct 24 17:44:29 2015 from 192.168.56.1
[oracle@em12c ~]$ hostnamectl status
   Static hostname: em12c.dbaglobe.com
         Icon name: computer
           Chassis: n/a
